About Ram 1500
The Ram 1500, affiliated with the Ram pickup, is a full-size pickup truck manufactured by Stellantis North America from 2010, succeeding the former name of Dodge Ram. Ram was previously part of the Dodge line of light trucks, whose name was first used in the 1981 model year. Through the long long period since its appearance, the whole series has received enormous awards, including an 8-time nomination of Motor Trend magazine's Truck of the Year from 1994 to 2021. The model is the fourth generation of the series.
Compared to the previous generations, the Ram 1500 has been fully redesigned in 2009, and the official went on sale in 2011. The rear suspension that combined a solid axle and coil springs greatly improve the drive feeling, making it closer to a car instead of a truck. Its upper levels are equipped with a 5.7L V8 engine, producing the power of 390hp, much better than its base level version using a 215hp V6. Compared to its rivals like the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, 2014 Ford F-150, and 2011 Toyota Tundra, the Ram 1500 had all-around advantages. For safety, the model has installed the four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, trailer-sway control, stability control, hill-start assist, front-seat side airbags, and full-length side curtain airbags, winning it the highest score of “Good”.
