    Q:
How to Replace Headlight Bulbs and Park/Turn Signal Bulbs on Chrysler PT Cruiser? Posted by Customer
    A:
On these models, the headlight high and low beam and park/turn signal bulbs are separate and mounted in the headlight housing. Begin by loosening the front wheel lug nuts, then raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the wheel and detach the headlight access panel from the fenderwell splash shield by rotating it out of the fenderwell. Grasp the appropriate bulb holder, rotate it counterclockwise, and remove it from the headlight housing. The headlight bulbs are integral with the holder and replaced as a unit; unplug the electrical connector and connect it to the new bulb, taking care not to touch the bulb surface with your fingers to avoid overheating and premature failure. If the bulb surface is touched, clean it with rubbing alcohol. For park/turn signals, grasp the bulb and pull it out of the holder, then using gloves or a clean shop towel, insert the new bulb into the holder. Install the bulb and holder in the headlight housing, rotating it clockwise to lock it in place. Finally, install the headlight access panel, then the wheel and lug nuts, tightening the lug nuts to the specified torque.

How to replace the headlight bulb on Dodge Nitro? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the headlight bulb, reach behind the headlight assembly, which will then require one to unclip the power distribution center if replacing the driver's side headlight bulb as you will need the space that is created when the clip is released. Turn the lockring anti-clockwise to take out the bulb from the headlight housing, the wiring also has to be disconnected from the socket. Disconnect and remove the bulb along with the socket from the lock ring and replace the bulb in the socket with a new one. Put the new bulb and socket back into lockring and join the wiring, where after fitting the bulb socket back into the headlight housing. Finally, using your fingers, twist the lockring again until it brings the rear part of the headlight housing into contact with the lockring then reconnect the battey terminal.

    Q:
How to replace a Headlight Bulb on Jeep Patriot? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace a halogen headlight, first, the cable should be disconnected from the negative terminal of the battery. After that, pull the electrical connector out of the back of the headlight housing. Twist the headlight bulb in an anti-clockwise direction to unlock it and then remove it. During the installation of the new bulb the tabs on the bulb socket mounting flange should be fitted into the slot the housing and apart from this the rest of procedure is reversal of the removal process. In case of xenon (HID) headlights, the same process as above should be used for disconnecting and replacing.

    Q:
How to replace the Headlight Bulb on Jeep Wrangler? Posted by Customer
    A:
For the models manufactured from 1987 to 1995, you will have to unplug the electrical connector of the headlight using the screwdriver then you will have to undo four screws that are available at the back of the headlight then lift the headlight bezel. Then loosen the retainer screws but do not take out the adjusting screws, pull out the retainer and lower the headlight from the hole. Insert a new headlight and apply a retainer and screws, and tighten it in order to secure the headlight properly and cover it with a bezel that need to be also screwed to the body. Last of all turn on the electrical connector and reattach the battery cable. For the models produced between 1997 and 2006, beginning with the removal of the head light bezel screws to get rid of the bezel, next, remove the screws of the headlight retaining ring and finally get rid of the retaining ring. For 2006 and earlier models, remove the headlight and detach the electrical connector and the installation procedure is the reverse of the removal process. To start with the 2007 and later models, one has to initially take off the radiator grille, the second step would be detaching the screws of the headlight retainer, the headlight housing to be then taken off and finally disconnecting the electrical connector. Twist the bulb holder anti-clockwise in order to remove it from the headlight housing; do not touch the bulb with bare hands as this will reduce the ways on the bulb; instead use a lint free cotton fabric to do so and clean any excess with rubbing alcohol before re-assembly. After you are done with the installation you need to make sure that the beam adjustment of the headlights is correctly done.

    Q:
How do HID Headlight Bulbs work for the 2005 Chrysler 300? Posted by Customer
    A:
HID bulbs use an alternating current (AC) electrical charge to ignite xenon gas inside the sealed bulb. The igniter controls the voltage applied to the electrodes, stepping up the 800 volt AC input to about 25000 volts to start up the light, and then reducing voltage to about 85 volts. It takes about 10-15 seconds for the HID bulb to warm up before operating normally.
