For 2007 and earlier models, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, then remove the interior door trim panel and carefully detach the watershield from the inside of the door. On front doors, remove the two bolts for the glass channel from the rear of the door, moving the rubber channel aside for clearance. Disconnect the rod from the outside door handle, which can be done at the handle or at the latch, and also disconnect the rod for the lock button at the latch. For front doors, disconnect the rod for the key lock at the latch, unbolt the latch assembly, pull it out, and disconnect the wiring. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring the door closes properly by readjusting the latch as necessary. For the lock cylinder, remove the outside door handle and extract the lock cylinder from the handle by removing the Torx-head screw, with installation being the reverse of removal. For the outside handle, remove the window, disconnect the switch wiring at the handle for vehicles with power locks, disconnect the handle rod, and remove the fasteners to take off the handle, with installation being the reverse of removal. For the inside handle, pry the cap from the retaining screw, note the handle's position, remove the screw, and pull off the handle, with installation being the reverse of removal. For 2008 and later models, begin by removing the door module and disconnecting the electrical connector to the latch. Rotate the door module to the back side and slide the latch bracket to the left until the mounting clips are free, then remove the latch assembly and bracket from the door module. Disconnect the bracket from the latch at three different attaching points and remove the latch from the bracket, with installation being the reverse of removal. For the lock cylinder, remove the door module, take off the horse shoe type lock cylinder retaining clip, and remove the lock cylinder and gasket from the door, with installation being the reverse of removal. For the outside handle, remove the door trim panel and the access plug, then working through the access hole, remove the outside door handle mounting nut, followed by removing the remaining outside door handle nut and the handle itself, with installation being the reverse of removal. For the inside handle, remove the door trim panel, unclip the interior lock rod from the handle, pull the push pin from the top of the handle, and remove the spring and handle assembly from the door module, with installation being the reverse of removal.
