Remove the door trim panel and water shield. For 2007 and earlier models, detach the glass from the regulator, noting that the glass does not need to be completely removed; it can be temporarily held in the up position with strong tape. Loosen the window regulator-to-door attaching bolts, disconnect the runout tube clip, and then remove the regulator. For power windows, disconnect the wiring and remove the regulator from the door. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring all fasteners are tightened in the proper sequence. For 2008 and later models, note that the window regulator is an integral component of the door module, and if there is a problem, the door module must be replaced. Remove the access plug from the door, then work through the access hole to remove the outside door handle mounting nut. Remove the window, the three latch fasteners from the end of the door, and the latch-to-door face mounting screw. Disconnect the main harness connector at the front edge of the door, remove the door module mounting screws from around the perimeter of the module, and disconnect the outside mirror electrical connector. Maneuver the module assembly out of the door body, and for installation, ensure the
Door Lock Cylinder is aligned and engaged with the door module before installing the module mounting bolts.
