For models from 1987 through 1995, begin by unhooking the cable on the negative battery terminal; then next remove the instrument cluster bezel and the instrument cluster indicator bezel. Then, remove screws which are for switch or rheostat, pull out the assembly and then disconnect the electrical connector. Following that, connect the new switch or rheostat snugly in place, fasten the screw, finish the installation in the sequence inversely. For models from 1997 through 2006 remove the negative battery terminal, pull out the headlight switch control knob to 'ON' position, while pressing the headlight switch retainer button and turning the knob and shaft. Pull out the steering column cover and the knee blocker, and then unbolt the Spanner nut of the headlight switch from the instrument trim panel. This is done to unplug the electrical connector from the switch and separate the switch from the panel and to reinstall we reverse the process. Models after 2007 incorporate the headlight switch and the instrument panel light dimming functions in the left multi-function switch circuit. The flasher assembly is equipped with a switch for troubleshooting, to diagnose problems with either, the whole multi-function switch assembly must be replaced.
