Disconnect the negative battery cable from the remote ground terminal. Remove the drivebelt. The crankshaft pulley bolt is incredibly tight; using a breaker bar, socket and special tool #10198 or equivalent, hold the pulley from turning while loosening the bolt. Pull the crankshaft pulley off the crankshaft. Apply clean engine oil or multi-purpose grease to the seal contact surface of the pulley hub. If it isn't lubricated, the seal lip could be damaged and oil leakage would result. Install the crankshaft pulley, aligning the keyway on the crankshaft with the slot in the pulley hub. Install the bolt and tighten it by hand. Prevent the engine from rotating then tighten the bolt to the torque. The remainder of installation is the reverse of removal.
