Fix the accumulator everytime you get rid of the condenser. Take out your condenser cooling fan with the condenser to replace it on Durango. To start, have an automotive air conditioning professional get rid of the air conditioning's air. Take the cable away from where it attaches to the negative battery connection. Gear down the hood latch cable if necessary. Then take out the plastic hood cover, radiator mounts, wiring, and radiator support, and lift it away from your path. Take off the screws that attach the power steering water radiator to the top of the condenser, and slide it aside. Connect your refrigerant hoses to the condenser, fill the hose ends with oil, and close all valves to avoid letting water get in during work. Unbolt the points where the condenser attaches to the radiator. Put the radiator to the side as you take the condenser off by lifting it out of the engine area. Keep the original condenser in its position with lines and fittings on top to save oil from leakage. For any new condenser install, place 1 oz (30 ml) of R-134a compatible oil into it first before putting it in place. Put new R-134a compatible O-rings at each connection point when you rebuild the system. Put fresh O-rings onto the refrigerant tubes, then replace all parts in the reverse order of how you took them out. End with the staff who decompressed the system putting it back into readiness, searching for and fixing any leaky seals.
