    For 2015 and later models, the outer end of the lower control arm should be supported with a floor jack, and the nuts and bolts securing the toe link, lower control arm, and upper control arm to the knuckle should be removed. Additionally, the lower control arm should be slowly lowered with the floor jack until spring tension is relieved, and then the shock absorber-to-knuckle bolt should be removed.

    Note the direction of the steering knuckle-to-strut bolt(s). If the strut assembly is attached using a cam bolt in the lower slotted hole, mark the relationship of the cam bolt to the strut to preserve the wheel alignment setting on reassembly for 2014 and earlier models.
