On models equipped with an electric parking brake actuator, release the parking brake and disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Loosen the rear wheel lug nuts, raise the rear of the vehicle, support it securely on jackstands, and remove the wheels. If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the electric parking brake actuator from the rear brake assembly. Detach the wiring harness from any retaining clips on the knuckle. Remove the ABS wheel speed sensor wiring harness from the knuckle and free the wiring harness from any retaining clips. On AWD models, remove the driveaxle/hub nut and free the driveaxle outer joint splines from the hub. Remove the brake caliper and mounting bracket. Support the caliper with a length of wire - don't let it hang by the brake hose. Remove the brake disc and backing plate. Disconnect the stabilizer bar link from the lower control arm. Remove the knuckle-to-trailing link bolts. On 2015 and later models, support the outer end of the lower control arm with a floor jack. Remove the nuts and bolts that secure the toe link, lower control arm, and the upper control arm to the knuckle. On 2015 and later models, slowly lower the lower control arm/floor jack until spring tension is relieved, then remove the shock absorber-to-knuckle bolt. Remove the knuckle. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the suspension fasteners. Tighten the caliper mounting bracket bolts. Tighten the hub nut (AWD models). Tighten the wheel lug nuts.
