Q:
How to Replace an Oxygen Sensor? Posted by Customer
A:
The oxygen sensor must be replaced at the specified interval. The sensor is threaded into the exhaust manifold and on some models it may be necessary to raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands for access from underneath the engine compartment. Disconnect the oxygen sensor wire. Use a wrench to unscrew the sensor. Use a tap to clean the threads in the exhaust manifold. If a new sensor is to be installed, apply anti-seize compound to the threads. Install the sensor, tighten it to the specified torque and plug in the connector.
