Install the throttle body and tighten the bolts finger tight, then tighten them with a torque wrench. The remainder of installation is the reverse of removal. On 5.7L Hemi engines, take the vehicle to a dealer or other qualified service center that has the appropriate scan tool and have them perform the ETC Relearn function.

For 3.7L V6 and 4.7L V8 engines, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, then remove the air intake tube at the throttle body flange and disconnect the throttle body electrical connector. Clearly label and disconnect all vacuum hoses connected to the throttle body, inspecting them for any damage; replace if necessary. Remove the four mounting bolts to detach the throttle body, and inspect the O-ring for any cracks or deterioration, replacing it if damaged. Clean the gasket mating surfaces of the throttle body and intake manifold, avoiding spray carburetor cleaners or silicone lubricants. Installation follows the reverse order, ensuring the throttle body mounting bolts are tightened to the specified torque. For Hemi and 3.6L V6 engines, begin similarly by disconnecting the negative battery cable, then remove the air intake duct and air resonator box. Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body by pushing the red slide lock away and pulling off the connector. Remove and inspect the large rubber gasket between the throttle body and air resonator box, replacing it if damaged. Detach the throttle body by removing the four mounting bolts and the O-ring type gasket, inspecting both for any damage. Clean the gasket mating surfaces, avoiding the use of spray carburetor cleaners or silicone lubricants. Reinstallation is done in reverse order, ensuring proper torque on the mounting bolts. If a new throttle body is installed on a Hemi engine, be aware that a Diagnostic Trouble Code may be set by the Powertrain Control Module, which can be cleared using a scan tool or by a qualified service department.
