    loosen the wheel lug nuts and raise the vehicle's front. Support it on jack stands, apply the parking brake, and block the rear wheels. Remove the wheel and loosen the jam nut on the tie-rod end, marking its relationship with the threaded portion. Loosen the ball stud nut and use a puller to disconnect the tie-rod end from the steering knuckle arm. Remove the nut and separate the tie-rod end. To install, thread the tie-rod end to the marked position and connect it to the steering knuckle arm. Tighten the ball stud nut and jam nut, install the wheel, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts. Lastly, check and adjust the front-end alignment if needed.

    To install, thread the tie-rod end onto the tie-rod to the marked position and connect it to the steering knuckle arm. Install and tighten the nut on the ballstud. Securely tighten the jam nut and install the wheel. Lower the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts. Finally, have the front end alignment checked and adjusted if necessary.
