    If replacing the valve, compare the old and new valves to make sure they're identical. The PCV valve is located at the right front corner of the valve cover. Lift the engine cover up and off of the ball studs and remove the cover. Detach the PCV hose and remove the valve. Install the PCV valve and tighten the valve securely. Shake the valve. The valve should rattle freely - if it doesn't, replace it. Replace the PCV valve with the correct one for your specific vehicle and engine size and tighten the mounting screws securely. Installation is the reverse of removal.
