Certainly. For 4WD models with a solid front axle, start by loosening the driveaxle/hub nut and wheel lug nuts on 1500 4WD models. Then, raise the front of the vehicle and securely support it on jackstands. Proceed by removing the wheel, followed by the three upper shock absorber mounting nuts and the lower shock absorber mounting nut and bolt. You'll also need to remove the brake caliper and disc. Additionally, detach the wheel speed sensor from the steering knuckle and upper control arm, detach the upper balljoint from the steering knuckle, and detach the stabilizer link from the lower control arm. Finally, remove the driveaxle/hub nut and pull the top of the knuckle out to remove the shock absorber/coil spring assembly.

Remove the nut and bolt that attach the upper end of the shock absorber to the frame, and if necessary, apply penetrating oil to loosen any rust. Then, remove the nut and bolt that attach the lower end of the shock to the axle bracket, again using penetrating oil if needed.
