- A:Start by loosening the front wheel lug nuts and raising the vehicle on jackstands. Remove the front wheels and support the outer end of the control arm using a floor jack or equivalent. Then, remove the fasteners that attach the upper end of the shock to the frame and disconnect the stabilizer bar link from the lower control arm.
