- Q:How do you remove the accelerator cable for the 2007 Jeep Liberty? Posted by Customer
- A:Start by removing the air intake duct/resonator from the throttle body. Then, rotate the throttle lever to the wide-open position and detach the cable end. Use a small screwdriver to press the tab and release the accelerator cable retainer from the bracket, sliding the cable out of the bracket. Underneath the dash, remove the plastic retainer clip and detach the cable from the accelerator pedal. Remove the metal clip securing the cable to the firewall. Detach the cable from the routing clip(s) and push it through the firewall into the engine compartment. Finally, detach the cable from the routing clips and remove it from the engine compartment.Posted by MoparPartsGiant Specialist
