In order to remove the brake caliper, the nuts of the front or rear wheel have to be loosened the car has to be raised and supported on jackstands and the other wheels must be blocked at the opposite end. Subsequently, disconnect the brake hose from the caliper by unscrewing the banjo bolt and disposing the old sealing washers, be a bit cautious don't spill your brake fluid but be sure to plug the brake hose to avoid such instances. If only accessing other components, ensure that the brake hose remains connected and suspend the caliper with wire such that there will be no pressure on the hose. Subsequent to this, pull the pins, which will release the caliper bracket from the steel caliper mounting bolts. For installation, reverse the procedure stating with the removal of the front brake caliper, replacing the sealing washers of the brake hose fitting then tightening the banjo and mounting bolts to the required torque. Last of all, if the hose were disconnected then bleed the brake system, ensure there are no leaks around the connections and at last test the brakes before putting the car back to its usual use.
