- A:To begin, have an automotive air conditioning technician discharge the air conditioning system. Next, remove the grille on 2011 and later models. Then, take out the air conditioning condenser. Place a drain pan beneath it and disconnect the automatic transmission cooler lines, plugging the openings to prevent contamination. Remove the transmission cooler. Disconnect the two air hoses from the intercooler. Proceed to remove the intercooler by loosening the mounting bolts and rotating it out of the vehicle. For installation, reverse the removal steps.
