    How is the Engine Cooling Fan replaced for the 2004 Jeep Liberty? Posted by Customer

    To replace the fan, disconnect the battery, use a special spanner wrench if necessary, lower the fan and clutch assembly into the fan shroud, disconnect the electrical connector, remove the shroud mounting bolts, and lift the fan and shroud assembly out of the engine compartment. Inspect the fan blades for damage and defects, and replace if necessary. If applicable, the mechanical fan can be unbolted from the fan clutch. Finally, install the fan and clutch assembly securely.
