It should turn willingly when the engine is cold and have more drag when the engine is warm. To replace the fan, disconnect the battery, use a special spanner wrench if necessary, and lower the fan and clutch assembly into the fan shroud. Disconnect the electrical connector, remove the shroud mounting bolts, and raise the fan and shroud assembly out the engine compartment. Finally, install the fan and clutch assembly securely.
