Remove the front bumper cover, then take out the fasteners retaining the fender inner splash shield and remove the splash shield. With the splash shield removed, eliminate any foam insulation that may be tucked up inside the fender. Next, remove the fender-to-door pillar mounting fasteners from inside the rear of the fenderwell, peeling back the foam for access. Proceed to remove the lower fender bolts located in front of the door at the edge of the front door sill; if there is a protective trim shield, first remove the plastic fastener pin and pull the splash shield down to access the lower screws. After that, remove the fender bolts at the front of the fender by securing the fasteners from inside the engine compartment, followed by the fasteners along the top edge of the fender. Disconnect and remove the radio antenna if equipped, then detach the fender, ensuring an assistant supports it while moving it away from the vehicle to prevent damage to surrounding body panels. Installation follows the reverse order of removal.
