If the relay is disconnected, it is now possible to test between the terminals of the power circuit and no continuity should be found between terminal 30 and 87 when there is no power applied to the coil. To power the relay, insert the fused jumper wire on one side of terminal 86 and the positive terminal of the battery and the other fused jumper wire on terminal 85 to the ground connection and it should click. With these connections continuity should now be from terminal 30 to 87 and if there is a failure in this test the relay should be replaced.
