Mopar 5181558AC Suspension Shock

Take off the cap on the shock tower (if equipped). Remove the fasteners attaching the upper end of the shock to the frame. Loosen the front wheel lug nuts. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the front wheels. Disconnect the stabilizer bar link from the shock assembly. Remove the fasteners attaching the lower end of the shock absorber to the lower control arm. Pull down on the lower control arm and remove the shock absorber toward the rear of the vehicle.

Installation follows the reverse order of removal, ensuring to raise the spring link to simulate normal ride height before tightening the lower shock mounting fasteners.
