During the removal process, you should disconnect the stabilizer bar link from the lower control arm. You'll also need to separate the lower control arm from the steering knuckle.

During the installation of the coil spring, start by placing the insulator on top of the coil spring. Install the top of the spring into the spring pocket and the bottom of the spring into the lower control arm. After this, reconnect the lower control arm to the steering knuckle. Following the successful installation of the coil spring, you can remove the spring compressor. The rest of the installation process should follow the reverse of the removal steps. Make sure to tighten all fasteners to their proper torque values and also tighten the wheel lug nuts. Lastly, it's advisable to have the front end alignment checked and adjusted if necessary.

As part of the removal process, you should remove the shock absorber. Additionally, it's important to install a suitable internal-type spring compressor. Compress the coil spring sufficiently using the compressor to relieve all pressure from the upper spring seat.

To begin the process of removing the coil spring on models with independent front suspension (except 1500 4WD models), start by loosening the wheel lug nuts. After that, raise the vehicle and make sure to securely support it on jackstands placed under the frame rails. Following the secure setup, proceed to remove the wheel.
