- A:The HVAC pressure switch is responsible for detecting system pressure and providing feedback to an electronic control module. To remove the pressure switch, start by unplugging the electrical connector. Then, use a wrench to unscrew it from the NC line. It's important to note that the pressure switch can be removed even if the A/C system is still under pressure, thanks to the Schrader valve on the A/C line fitting. After removing the pressure switch, discard the old 0-ring seal and replace it with a new one. Make sure to lubricate the new seal with clean refrigerant oil of the correct type. Screw the pressure switch back in place until hand tight, and then tighten it securely. Finally, reconnect the electrical connector.Posted by MoparPartsGiant Specialist
