1996 Jeep Cherokee Cylinder Head Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to Remove the Cylinder Head from a V6 Engine on 1996 Jeep Cherokee?
A: Disconnect the exhaust pipe, remove the oil dipstick tube assembly, and remove the exhaust manifold and other brackets. Loosen the rocker arm nuts, remove the pushrods, and loosen the head bolts in reverse sequence. You can break the gasket seal and remove the cylinder head. If installing a new head, reattach components, place the gasket, position the cylinder head, and tighten the bolts with RTV sealant. Install the pushrods and rocker arm nuts.
