First, take out the door trim, peel back the window molding, disconnect the power mirror power source, unscrew all the fasteners, and grind off the mirror from the door. For installation, reverse the removal steps. When changing the electronic inside mirror, disconnect and block the car's negative battery cable first. To take the mirror out of the car, first stop and disconnect the connection wires for extra features if you have them. Then grab the base of the mirror and turn it to the right 90 degrees to completely remove it from above the windshield. When installing again, do the opposite of how you removed the mirror base. Use a special mirror adhesive kit to repair any separation from the windshield during reassembly. Before moving on, clean all surfaces carefully. When removing standard inside mirrors or feedback data from the telematics system, free the setscrew holding the mirror base to the windshield, lift the mirror off its bracket, and disconnect all electrical wires before taking it out. Follow the instructions in the adhesive kit to put your support base back together if it has fallen apart.
