Remove the negative battery clasp; thereafter, lift the car and support it on stands. Next, remove the electrical connector for the power steering fluid pressure switch which is a part of power steering gear assembly; to do this release the locking tab at the top of the connector and pry it off. With the use of a 7/8-inch deep socket and an extension, loosen and take off the power steering fluid pressure switch, but be careful that the deep socket cover the plastic connector. Finally, to seal the threads of the new switch, use the Teflon tape while for the installation process one has to follow the reverse procedure to the removal in as much as tightening the switch to the right torque as recommended is paramount.
