Remove the valve cover and both camshafts. Once the camshafts are removed, the rocker arms can be lifted off, and the
Lash Adjusters can remain in the head unless being replaced. Inspect the rocker arm tip, roller, and lash adjuster pocket for wear, replacing them if any evidence of wear or damage is found. Carefully check each lash adjuster for signs of wear and damage, especially on the ball tip that contacts the rocker arm, as they can become clogged with age; consider replacing them if concerned about their condition or if the engine produces valve "tapping" noises. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring that the rocker arms are reinstalled in the same locations from which they were taken.
