Loosen the front wheel lug nuts, raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Apply the parking brake and block the rear wheels to keep the vehicle from rolling off the stands. Remove the front wheels. Familiarize yourself with the components that make up the stabilizer. Note: To remove the link nut, hold the stud with an Allen wrench while turning the nut with a box-end wrench. Remove the under-vehicle splash shield. Remove the rear engine mount. Remove the front engine mount through-bolt. Remove the lower stabilizer link nut. Remove the two screws attaching the power steering hose clamps to the rear of the crossmember. Remove the heat shield. Remove the two bolts that secure the steering gear to the crossmember. Support the steering gear with a rope, bungee cord or wire to hold it in place as the crossmember is lowered. Mark the relationship of the main crossmember to the vehicle. Support the main crossmember with a floor jack, Remove the bolts and lower the crossmember far enough to allow for the Sway Bar Kit to be removed. Remove the Sway Bar bracket bolts and remove the brackets and the bushings. Remove the Sway Bar Kit. Installation: install the Sway Bar Kit, Sway Bar Bushing and brackets onto the crossmember, but do not tighten them yet. Center the Sway Bar Kit on the crossmember. Tighten the bracket bolts. Align the crossmember with the marks you made earlier and install the mounting bolts and screws. Install the engine mount and power steering line brackets/fasteners. Install the stabilizer links and tighten the nuts. Install the wheels and lug nuts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel lug nuts.
