Lift the front of the vehicle and place it on jackstands securely then remove the front wheels. Then remove the engine splash shield below the car as shown in Fig. Slightly different is the link of the sway bar that can be disconnected with the shock absorber by simply opening the upper nut on the link. Lower nut must be withdrawn from the sway bar link while pulling it out from the bar, and the heat sheaths which protect sway bar brackets also should be unbolted. After that, unbolt the fasteners of the sway bar bracket and pull out the brackets and then proceed to unbolt the sway bar and the rubber bushings from it noting that the slit should be installed towards the rear of the vehicle in future. Wipe the area on the sway bar upon which the bushings lie and check the condition of all rubber bushings: if they're cracked, torn or looked worn out, replace them. Inspect each of the sway bar links for any signs of undue wears and use and replace those that have been worn out. Last is reinstalling, the process of which is opposite to the removal and it involves tightening of all the fasteners up to the required torque.
