- Q:How to Remove the Air Cleaner Housing? Posted by Customer
- A:To remove the fresh air inlet duct from the air cleaner box, unlock the retainers and rotate them, then lift the duct up and pull it out. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Intake Air Temperature sensor and loosen the clamp to detach the air intake hose from the air filter box. Loosen the clamp retaining the duct to the throttle body, disconnect the harness plastic retainer, and remove the duct. To remove the air filter box, disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery and remove the PCM from the top of the filter box. Remove the filter box support bracket fasteners and bracket, and disconnect the by-pass hose from the air filter box. Pull the box upwards to disengage the pins from the grommets. Inspect the rubber mounting grommets on the underside of the air filter box and replace them if damaged. Installation is the reverse of removal.Posted by MoparPartsGiant Specialist
