For 2.7L and 3.5L V6 models, disconnect the electrical connector from the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor and loosen the hose clamp screws to remove the air duct. Inspect it for damage and replace if necessary. Disconnect the air duct from the air filter box and remove the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) fresh air inlet hose. Then, remove the air filter box by lifting it straight up and inspect the rubber insulator covering the locator pin, replacing it if damaged. The air resonator box can be removed by disconnecting the air filter box and removing the resonator box mounting bolt, pulling out the two locator pins, and inspecting the rubber insulators. For the 5.7L V8 engine, follow similar steps to remove the engine cover, disconnect the electrical connector from the IAT sensor, and remove the air duct. Inspect the duct for damage and replace if needed. Disconnect the air duct from the air filter box and remove the PCV fresh air inlet hose. Lift the air filter box straight up, inspect the rubber insulators, and replace them if necessary. To remove the air resonator box, disconnect the air filter box, remove the retaining bolt, and pull out the locator pins. Inspect and replace the rubber insulators if damaged.
