- A:Disconnect the negative battery terminal and remove the air filter housing. Drain the cooling system if necessary. Raise the vehicle and secure it on jackstands. Disconnect the fan motor electrical connector and remove the upper radiator hose. Remove the upper radiator support mounts and the fan mounting screws. For 2001 and later models, remove the PCM and the air conditioning line support bracket. For all models, remove the fan assembly by lifting it from above the engine compartment. Detach the fan blade from the motor by removing the nut or retaining clip. Remove the motor from the shroud by removing the retaining nuts or screws. Installation is the reverse of removal. Make sure the rubber air shields around the fan assembly are in place for efficient cooling system operation.Posted by MoparPartsGiant Specialist
