Mopar 68109836AB Front Bumper Cover

All Dodge Challengers come with bumpers made of a plastic front cover, an underlining beam, and a supporting frame behind the cover. When taking off the front bumper cover, lift the car using jackstands before lowering it onto the supports. In the wheel space behind the tire, loosen the bolts that keep the edge of the bumper attach to the inner cover. Some Challenger models use rivets for these attachments, not pins. We took off the engine splash shield, then unbolted where the bumper cover attached to the fender and bumper cover support, allowing us to separate the bumper from the fender. Before removing the bumper cover, disconnect the Tire Pressure Monitor connector first and disconnect the fog lights, if equipped. Then, unwrap and take out the close-out panel above the radiator support, release the upper fasteners to that mounting, separate and remove the bumper cover completely. Put the car on jackstands, then take off the base that shields the back fender from water. Remove any fasteners you see, remembering that some cars might need you to drill out rivets first. Unbolt and take out the rear tail lights. In the rear wheelwell, undo all screws that hold the bumper cover to the rear quarter panel. Take off the fasteners that hold up the lower section of the back bumper facade, then remove all remaining screws to free the bumper cover and pull it off. Installation is the reverse of removal.
