Bumpers on all models consist of a plastic fascia, or bumper cover, fascia support, and a structural beam. To remove the front bumper cover, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. In the wheelwell, remove the fasteners securing the ends of the bumper cover to the inner fender splash shield; note that some models may have rivets instead of plastic retaining pins, and replacement plastic push-pin fasteners are available at most auto parts stores. Next, remove the engine splash shield by taking out the fasteners. Continue in the wheelwell by removing the fasteners that secure the bumper cover to the fender and bumper cover support, noting that the Challenger model has fasteners in a slightly different location. After that, remove the close-out panel above the radiator support, then take out the upper mounting fasteners and the bumper cover itself. Disconnect the fog lamps, if equipped, and carefully remove the bumper cover from the vehicle, also disconnecting the Tire Pressure Monitor connector. For the rear bumper cover, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, then remove the fasteners that secure the inner-fender splash shield to the rear bumper cover, keeping in mind that some models may have rivets that need to be drilled out. Challenger models require the removal of the rear tail light assemblies. In the rear wheelwell, remove the fasteners securing the bumper cover to the rear quarter panel, followed by the fasteners from the lower part of the rear bumper fascia. Finally, remove the remaining bumper cover mounting fasteners and take off the bumper cover. Installation is the reverse of removal.
