This procedure is essentially the same as for the 3.7L engines; follow the outlined procedure but use the torque listed in the Specifications.

To do that, remove the transmission assembly, follow these steps; At first, safely lift the vehicle off the ground and support by placing jack stands. If the concerned car has a manual transmission system, then remove pressure plate and clutch disc; it is advisable to inspect/replace clutch part at this stage. Before the flywheel or driveplate is taken off mark the relationship for ease of reassembly when the correct position of the crankshaft has to be achieved. Then, to look inside the engine, take out the bolts on the flywheel or driveplate to the crankshaft; to get the flywheel stationary, one must use a wrench if there is none, insert a screwdriver in the ring gear teeth and it will jam the flywheel. Finally and carefully take off the flywheel or driveplate, supporting itself while it is being unbolted last bolt, clean the flywheel or the driveplate in order to remove all the grease and oil, and then examine for any damages. Scrape and cleaned the run-in surfaces of the flywheel or driveplate and crankshaft and replace the crankshaft rear main seal if it is worn out before refitting. To install align the marked positions of the flywheel or driveplate to the crankshaft, apply the thread locking compound on the bolt threads, then tighten to the torque value while the applying the necessary force on the flywheel or driveplate. The rest involves doing the exactly the opposite of the steps used when removing the installation.
