Open the hood and remove the grille. Next, take out the two retaining bolts and pull the housing straight out. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the headlight assembly. When installing the headlight housing, guide the post on the outboard end of the housing into its corresponding hole in the fender. Installation is otherwise the reverse of removal. After completing the installation, check the headlight adjustment.

The headlights are meant to be directed in a proper angle which does not point to the oncoming traffic but at the same time gives adequate illumination on the road. The aim should be checked at least once annually or any time that a new headlight is fitted or there is front-end bodywork done. The above described process gives a temporally fix until a qualified personnel can fix this properly. These models come with horizontal adjustment screws installed on both ends of the headlight housing for the purpose of adjusting the low and high beams at the same time. These should normally be made on a level surface with a full tank of gas and minimal extra weight in the vehicle. One of the easiest to use is a white blank wall with masking tape and a level floor space. Vertical tape should be placed parallel to the vehicle centerline and the centerlines of the headlight bulbs with horizontal tape line also parallel to the center line of all the bulbs. One must park it 25 feet away from the wall and make sure it is in a leveled ground, with the fuel tank at half and should not be loaded. The high-intensity zone has to be located two inches beneath the horizontal line and two inches on the side of the headlight vertical line in such a manner that it is oriented away from the approaching traffic; the adjustment has to be done by means of the headlight vertical adjusting screw. The low beams are active and the high beams will switch on concurrently with the low beams. The headlights should be professionally aligned at the first possible time when the car is taken for servicing.
