Headlights are equipped with two spring-loaded adjusting screws, one on the top for up-and-down movement and one on the side for left-and-right movement, with specific adjustments applicable to LeBaron models. To perform the adjustment, a blank wall 25 feet in front of the vehicle and a level floor are necessary. Masking tape should be positioned vertically on the wall in alignment with the vehicle centerline and the centerlines of both headlights, along with a horizontal tape line corresponding to the centerline of all headlights, which may be easier to set up with the vehicle parked close to the wall. The vehicle should be level, with the gas tank half-full and no heavy load present during adjustment. For low beam adjustment, the high intensity zone should be set two inches below the horizontal line and two inches to the right of the headlight vertical line, using the top adjusting screw to raise or lower the beam and the side screw to move it left or right. When adjusting high beams, the high intensity zone should be vertically centered just below the horizontal line, keeping in mind that it may not be possible to achieve perfect alignment for both high and low beams; prioritizing low beams is advisable due to their frequent use and impact on driver safety. It is recommended to have the headlights adjusted by a dealer service department or service station as soon as possible.
