    To remove the oil pump, follow these steps, disconnect the oil pump pick-up tube and solenoid electrical connector. Remove the oil pump timing gear splash shield and press the oil pump chain tensioner away from the chain. Make reference marks on the chain and oil pump gear. Hold the oil pump gear and remove the T45 Torx mounting bolt. Release the tensioner and remove the spring and tensioner from the oil pump. Finally, remove the oil pump mounting bolts and the pump itself.
