    How to remove and install a power steering pump on Jeep Compass? Posted by Customer

    Disconnect the battery's negative terminal and remove the fluid from the reservoir. Remove the engine cover and disconnect the power steering pressure line bracket from the engine mount. Disconnect the pressure line and supply hose from the pump. Remove the drivebelt and pump mounting bolts, then remove the pump. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten all bolts and fittings, ensure hoses are properly routed and clamps are secure. Fill the reservoir with the recommended fluid, reconnect the battery, and bleed the system. Finally, check the fluid level and inspect for leaks.
