- A:Remove the cap on the shock tower and remove the fasteners that attach the upper end of the shock to the frame. Loosen the front wheel lug nuts. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the front wheels. Disconnect the stabilizer bar link from the shock assembly. Remove the fasteners attaching the lower end of the shock absorber to the lower control arm. Pull down on the lower control arm and remove the shock absorber towards the rear of the vehicle.Posted by MoparPartsGiant Specialist

- A:The subframe must be lowered one side at a time to remove the coil spring. A good floor jack, jackstands, and wood blocks will be necessary. For the removal of the load-leveling type shock absorbers for the side of the vehicle you're working on, remove the shock absorber in this manner regardless if it is the regular or load leveling type. Continue to lower the subframe until the coil spring is extended. Remove the coil spring and the upper and lower insulators. Inspect insulators for wear and damage.
