- A:This applies to 2.7L and 3.5L models only. The EGR valve is bolted to the rear end of the rear-bank cylinder head. The lower EGR pipe connects the exhaust manifold to the EGR valve, while the upper EGR pipe connects the EGR valve to the intake manifold. To remove the EGR valve, start by removing the EVAP purge solenoid valve and disconnecting the electrical connector from the EGR valve. Next, remove the lower EGR tube nut from the exhaust manifold and the lower EGR tube bolts from the EGR valve. For the upper EGR tube, remove the two bolts securing the lower end of the pipe to the EGR valve and disconnect the upper end from the intake manifold. Remove the old gasket between the upper pipe and EGR valve, as well as the old rubber silicone seals from the EGR pipe. Finally, disconnect the upper EGR pipe and, if applicable, the lower EGR pipe from the EGR valve and remove the EGR valve from the right cylinder head.Posted by MoparPartsGiant Specialist
