- A:Remove the rear heating and air conditioning housing.Carefully remove the foam insulation from around the expansion valve.Remove the nut holding one line fitting to the valve and detach the line, discarding the seal. Swiftly plug all openings to minimize contamination.Remove the fasteners holding the other line fitting and plate to the valve. Separate it from the valve and then remove the valve, discarding any seals. Plug all openings once again.Installation involves reversing the removal process. Install new O-rings onto the line fittings and lightly coat them with the correct refrigerant oil. Only use O-rings designed specifically for A/C system applications.Once the valve is installed, have the system evacuated, recharged, and leak tested by the shop that previously discharged it.Posted by MoparPartsGiant Specialist
