Oil filter housing is integral with the oil cooler and thus it cannot be serviced individually as is done with other coolers. Start by removing the cable from the negative terminal of the battery as on 2015 and later models with an Intelligent Battery Sensor IBS connector should be removed first. Then, empty all the coolant and now you'll have to remove the lower intake manifold. Move to the next step of the removal of the oil cooler mounting fasteners which entails the use of screws and bolts, then remove the oil cooler and disposed the seals. When it comes to putting it in place, then for new seals apply them on the oil cooler before putting it to place on the block, you then fasten it with the given mounting screws. This is followed by the fixing of the mounting bolts then torquing them to the right amounts. Start with reinstalling the components in reverse order which was used for removal of the components and then add the coolant to the cooling system of the car and start the engine till it warms up and then do the leakage check.
