Raise the vehicle and support it securely. Drain the cooling system and remove the oil filter. Squeeze the hose clamps and detach the hoses. Unscrew the bolt and detach the oil cooler. Clean the mating surfaces and use a new gasket. Align the cut-out and tab on the oil pan. Tighten the bolt and install a new oil filter. Refill the cooling system and check the oil level.

To replace the oil cooler, start by raising the front of the vehicle and supporting it securely on jack stands. Drain the cooling system and remove the engine oil filter. For installation, clean the mating surfaces and use a new gasket. Align the cutout on the cooler with the tab on the oil pan and tighten the bolt while holding the oil cooler to prevent it from turning. Finally, install a new oil filter, refill the cooling system, and check the oil level, adding as necessary.

To remove the oil cooler you merely unscrew the connection that is attached to the negative terminal of the battery and pump out the coolant. Lift the car and place jack stands securely on the beneath the car to prevent from rolling. Then, detach the oil filter and the oil from the engine, later, and finally, cut the rubber hoses connected to the inlet and outlet ports of the engine. Locate the oil cooler connector bolt that is present at the centre of the cooler and then take out the oil cooler and dispose the oil cooler O-ring. For installation, it is required to lubricate an oil cooler connector bolt and the O-ring with clean engine oil. Align the flatted portion of the oil cooler to the adapter and screw the component on the adapter using the connector bolt to the specified degree of turn. Replace the oil filter with a new one and replace the oil in the engine, replacing the coolant in the radiator. Each engine should be run until it warms to normal and checked for leaks.
