To replace the pump and reservoir assembly, start by pumping or siphoning the liquid from the reservoir. Then, disconnect the pump ground wire and remove the mounting screws to take off the reservoir and pump assembly. Next, disconnect the electrical leads and water hoses from the bottom of the pump. Use a socket and extension to remove the nut and plastic washer through the reservoir filler neck. Separate the pump from the bottom of the reservoir and discard the rubber grommet. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring that a new grommet is used on the reservoir.
