The camshafts should in all circumstances be professionally checked for suitability for use and camshaft end play should be measured before the camshafts are removed. First of all, unplug the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, and remove the valve covers. Last, before tightening the wedge(s), and reinstall the Camshaft Position Sensor, valve covers, reconnect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
