    Remove the banjo bolt, sealing washers, and the fuel line from the rear of the head, then remove the fuel injectors. Remove the rocker housing and gasket. Loosen the head bolts in the reverse order of the tightening sequence, inserting each removed bolt into a cardboard template to keep track. Carefully pry between the head and block to break the gasket seal, then lift off the cylinder head, either with an assistant or using an engine lifting hoist. Inspect the head and remove any wiring harnesses or ground cables still attached.
