Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Caution: On 2015 and later models, if equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable. Remove the lower instrument panel insulator. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the blower motor resistor or power module. Remove the mounting screws and remove it from the housing. Installation is the reverse of removal. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Remove the lower instrument panel insulator. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor, then remove the mounting screws and lower the blower motor out of the housing. If either the fan or motor is damaged, the entire unit must be replaced as an assembly. Installation is the reverse of removal.
